Development Kit for Rad-Hard MIL-STD-1553 Dual Transceiver

Holt Integrated Circuits today announced the introduction of ADK-1592, a development kit designed to help customers interface Holt’s recently announced HI-1592 rad-hard transceiver with a MIL-STD-1553 protocol controller or FPGA. The HI-1592 is latch-up immune and proven to withstand a single-event upset (SEU) with an LET of at least 67.7 MeV-cm2/mg. It is radiation tolerant to a total ionizing dose (TID) of 100 krad(Si) and is ideal for launch vehicle, high-altitude aircraft and low orbit satellite applications utilizing MIL-STD-1553 data bus communication.   Read more

Holt Integrated Circuits today announced the introduction of ADK-84216, a development kit designed to demonstrate the features of Holt’s recently announced programmable 16-channel low side driver, HI-84216. Holt Integrated Circuits today announced the introduction of HI-84216, a smart 16-channel low-side driver designed for high reliability avionics applications. The device uses a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) for intelligent switch control, monitoring and advanced diagnostics. It is capable of sinking 250mA per channel with up to 4A total sink current for parallel channel operation.   Read more

Holt Integrated Circuits today announced a major update to the Application Programming Interface (API) for its MIL-STD-1553 integrated terminals. The Holt Portable Library (HPL) API now supports all Holt’s MIL-STD-1553 terminal devices, providing the customer with a layer of abstraction using standardized functions and enabling software portability for all Holt devices across multiple platforms and processors.   Read more
Guidelines for Lightning Protection of Latest ARINC 429 Devices according to RTCA DO-160G, Section 22, Level 3 & 4

Holt Integrated Circuits has published a new application note (AN-303) which provides guidelines for protection against lightning induced transients applied to Holt’s latest ARINC 429 products. Many of these products, such as HI-35930 protocol family, HI-8450/4/8 line receiver families, HI-8460 galvanically isolated line receiver family and HI-8597 line driver family have on-chip built-in lightning protection against Level 3 pin injection waveforms.   Read more

Octal ARINC 429 Receiver Development Kit with SPI Host Interface

Holt Integrated Circuits today announced the release of a new ARINC 429 Development Kit, ADK-35981. The evaluation board demonstrates the operation of Holt's HI-35981, an Octal ARINC 429 Receiver with Label Recognition and a SPI Interface.
